Fire Safety and Awareness TRAINING
Fire Safety Awareness Extinguisher Training will provide participants with good knowledge of fire safety and practical experience in safe use of different types of fire extinguishers.
AIM
The aim of this course is to raise awareness of fire hazards within the work environment, to equip participants with the information required to protect themselves and to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation, including selecting and using a fire extinguisher.
OBJECTIVES
- Participants who have completed this course will be able to
- Understand the chemistry of fire
- Identify possible fire hazards in the workplace
- List control measures to be put in place
- Know and understand the difference between the various classes of fire extinguishers.
- Know and understand the uses of the various types of fire extinguishers
- Select the correct type of fire extinguisher for the task
- Effectively use fire extinguisher
- Understand the requirement for emergency procedures and the action to be taken in an emergency
- Conduct emergency evacuation drills within their work environment
