SAFE USE AND OPERATION OF TELESCOPIC HANDLER (TELEPORTER)
This Course is designed to provide candidates with the knowledge, skills and attitude to enable them to operate a Teleporter Safely.
Note: This course is not a CSCS or QSCS course and does not qualify delegate to use this machine on a Construction Site or in a Quarry.
AIM
To provide safety training & assessment to enable candidates to demonstrate safe operation of machines in line with regulations.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of this course is to provide the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to work as a Teleporter Operator and to provide safety training to enable candidates to demonstrate safe operation of loads & machines in line with regulations.

COURSE CONTENTS
Statutory Requirements:
- Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act, 2005
- Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013
- Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007
Part One – Theory
- Method and Importance of Machine Inspection
- Safe System of Work – Before starting the engine, Starting the Engine,
Before operating Machine, Machine operation - Hazards associated with working with a Telescopic Handler
- Theoretical Test
Part Two – Practical Sessions
- Walk Around Inspection
- Introduction to Machine and Operating Controls
- The effect of size, load, weight, gradients and ground conditions
- Machine Operation: No Load
- Machine Operation: Loading – Discharge
- Loading, storage & transportation of materials
- Recognition of approved hand signals
- Risk Assessment in working environment
- Practical Test
DURATION
One Day
NO. OF DELEGATES
Maximum of 4 delegates.
EQUIPMENT
Machine must be in good order with all relevant current and valid certifications of inspections.
There must be a safe area for practical skills.
All delegates must have Hard Hat, High Visibility Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves etc on the day of the training.
CERTIFICATION
On successful completion of this course a Trade Safety Ltd Training Certificate and Card will be issued.
