About Trade Safety

Established in October 2004, Trade Safety Ltd provides Environmental and Health and Safety Consultancy, Training and Equipment Hire, Sale and Service to a wide range of customers including Construction and Road Building companies, Saw Mills, Waste Management companies, Engineering companies, Quarries, Hotels, Restaurants, Local Authorities, Architects, Retail Outlets (construction and fit out), Churches etc.

Consultancy services include all aspects of the project from the appointment of the project supervisors through to delivery of the safety file to the client.

The consultancy services Trade Safety Ltd provide include Health and Safety Coordinator for the Design Process and the Construction Stage, safety statements, site specific safety plans, method statements and risk assessments in accordance with the 2005 Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act and other legislation such as the 2013 Construction Regulations, the 2007-2016 General Application Regulations and the 2008 Quarry Regulations.

Our sales and technical support team can provide an extensive range of advice on both method of works   and relevant equipment to compliment the tasks as required, therefore providing tailored solutions and equipment specific to customer requirements and providing a safe work environment. Our trained technicians can provide a range of servicing at our premises or on site if required.

Trade Safety Ltd also provides on-site safety officer services whereby it is ensured that all procedures on site are in order and in accordance with all current legislation and Codes of Practice. Duties include maintenance of all records on site, carrying out induction training for all employees, subcontractors and visitors, monitoring subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with site safety rules, acquisition of any safety equipment required and coordinating any training requirements. Trade Safety Ltd carries out safety audits on other sites and advises in-house safety officers on various issues including the correct types of safety equipment required and the levels of training needed.

In addition Trade Safety Ltd carries out Health & Safety audits on behalf of one of Ireland’s largest insurance companies to ensure compliance by policyholders with all health and safety legislation and regulations. The objective of these audits is to inspect all safety issues on site in order to assess the level of risk involved and to provide advice to policyholders with regard to safety on site in the ultimate hope of reducing the level of accidents on construction sites and business premises. To this end the policyholders are advised by Trade Safety Ltd on all obligations placed on them by current legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

Trade Safety Ltd provides all types of training including Manual Handling, Safe Working at Heights, Abrasive Wheels, First Aid, Fire Safety and Awareness, Lock out/Tag out, Confined Space Awareness, Plant and Machinery eg Forklift, MEWP etc. Trade Safety Ltd has in-house trainers who deliver some of these training courses and arranges for suitably qualified trainers to deliver others.
